It should come as no surprise that Medeski, Martin & Wood would release an album geared toward children. In their 17 years as a cooperative ensemble, MMW has made music that is nothing if not wild, playful and childlike. What's different here, then, is the plentitude of vocal numbers: The Wood Brothers hand vocal duties on "The Train Song", and John Lurie tells us about the secret lives of pocket lint on "The Squalb".
